All those years at a Church-of-England-run school didn't make much a dent, obviously. I can still remember the Lord's prayer though, even now, because we used to recite it once a day. But my understanding of it was nil, it was just a collection of sounds. It wasn't so much spiritual guidance, as much as entrapment into a routine that hopefully would stay with you.
