Minor ops
I had a sebaceous cyst removed from my head this morning, so that was exciting. The doctor called me a 'good girl' twice, and said I was very brave. I wanted to point out I was 38 and not 12, but actually it was kind of comforting.
He numbed my head and then there was a lot of pressure and muttering about needing the non-toothed scissors, which the nurse did not possess. Then more muttering and more pressure, and then he said "Haha! I got it all." Then the weird dragging dead feeling of having numb skin stitched. That was the worst thing.
Now I have vast dressing stuck to the side of my head, and a new bald patch.
After that, Mr Lux walked me home in case I had a funny turn, and left me on the sofa watching the Olympics.
Commentator quote of the day, from the men's high bar finals: "That man deserves a biscuit!"

Brave girls probably deserve both. :-)

I hope it heals well for you.

Thank you - they did keep telling me it might get infected, but I hope it doesn't.

Hope you're feeling fine.

I get those rotten things on the scalp too. Usually I leave them alone and they leave me alone, but I've had to have two of them removed because they got inflamed. One of the docs really had The Touch, and it hardly hurt at all and only needed one stitch. The other was more in the mode of your doctor, and I was shaking like the proverbial leaf by the time he'd finished. I'm surprised they had to cut away that much of your hair, though - mine was left pretty much alone in both cases.

I want your comentators. Let's switch countries.
Lately I'm getting more and more hooked on the Olympic games... all that bare skin, sculptured bodies, awesome feats and raw emotion... addicting.
no subject
Yes yes. The raw emotion and hot bodies are extremely conducive to fic writing, I find. They put me in the right state of mind.

hope you're back on your feet soon.

Despite the current (well-earned, well-deserved) Rafapalooza, he still looks like the King of Tennis Universe.

I'm feeling better, thanks. Also, hand in pocket Rogi is hot. Did you see his outfits for the US Open yet? One of them looks like a grey catsuit!

Actually Rafa might be too exciting right after surgery. Maybe I'd better keep him, no?

Don't you love the word sebaceous?

Hope your hed recovers (the outside, at least?)! How many days do you think you'll be able to get away with putting "Oooh, I feel dizzy!" before every request before everyone notices and stops scrambling to help? ;)

Hope you're feeling chipper too. *tender hugs*
