More extraordinary brane powers

Thanks for all the answers to the special powers poll. My favourites:

Sanzo:
If he had telekinesis, he'd never let anyone get within 50 metres of him.
Pissed off!Medium.
Slight precognition and slight telepathy, the rest is all attitude

Hakkai:
Psychometry, healing and life-force vampirism
Only acts like he's reading your mind.
Absolute direction sense like an internal GPS - this made me think of Mildmay!

Goku
Spidey-sense
Telekenesis or just plain superstrength. Maybe he's the Incredible Hulk?

Gojyo
The ability to give someone an orgasm just by thinking about it.
Charm / presence / awe-inducing magnetism. Or pyrokinesis.
Empathic / psychometry - quite a few people suggested empath for Gojyo.

*mulls it over*

Also, random thought of the day (last night): I was wondering if Koumyou kept Ukoku and Kouryuu apart on purpose. Kouryuu only has one memory od Ukoku, but it's clear Ukoku visited Koumyou sometimes - or even regularly? I really want to read more stories about Nii.

Hm... I think he may see Kouryuu as a rival, or rather - see Koumyou's affection as a challenge. I actually think this may be some of what attracts them to each other - there's this constant push and pull. We know Ukoku is looking for something to fulfill him, but whether he's aware he's actually seeking love and attention or not remains to be seen. I think he's in denial and pretends that the challenge of winning Koumyou's respect/love is what he wants. Hrm. It would be interesting to learn where/how he grew up, his origins, etc.

Koumyou seemed to have Ukoku pegged from the moment they met, and I think Ukoku knew that too. It must've frustrated him, but I also think he was searching for a heavier hand, or at least some guidance he could get with (since Koumyou isn't exactly a conventional monk *g*).

As for Kouryuu, I wouldn't be surprised if Ukoku tried to meet him, either out of curiosity of his rival or simply to get one-up on Koumyou. Maybe the act of 'protecting' Kouryuu from Ukoku was what frustrated Ukoku the most. *shrug* So many possibilities!

The idea of Ukoku actually seeking love and attention and not knowing it really gets to me, because it's so at odds with how he wants to be seen.

Koumyou knew him when he wasn't an evil genius - he knew him when he was a (well, compared to Koumyou's immense wisdom) naive young man. I think you're right, he understood what Ukoku was capable of almost straight away. Siiigh. It's such a sad story.
