It's such a great story, and it was insanely fun to try to illustrate. (I was really quite nervous about doing his cat details, but I reasoned that if I misinterpreted them, it would be a good excuse to try again! ;)♥ )

How did you picture his ears? I was torn between large Loveless-style top-of-head ears, and cat ears with human placement (I thought they might be low-set since Hakkai "slid his fingers into the coppery mass of his hair and his fingertips found the velvet rim of an ear"? Or not?) And was a bit on the fence with his claws--I went with human shaped nails for his rounded claws, but perhaps they should be more claw-like? Longer tail, longer hair? Heh, I'm quite curious about the details now. XD

I think you got everything pretty much as I imagined it, which is fantastic of you-- the ears are just right - sort of just visible through his hair and where normal human ears would be.

As for the claws, I think they'd be a bit pointed and maybe just overhang his fingers slightly, but not much. The hair is perfect - exactly the colour I imagined, and the tail too. For length, the tail tip should lie flat on the floor if he is standing up. The diamond collar has three rows of closely set diamonds, each one about 5mm across... okay, that is probably enough detail. *g*
