Things, writing, some quick Saiyuki recs

Lesson 1: if you whine pitifully, then [livejournal.com profile] daegaer will entertain you with Saiyuki drabbles and [livejournal.com profile] lydia_petze will show you pictures of flying cats.

Lesson 2: there is no lesson 2

In other news the janitor story has reached 7000 words and not much seems to have happened apart from some mopping, significant looks and Hakkai being strange. Mostly, I don't start with a full plot outline, but I know that certain things have to happen to take the plot forward and I have an idea of what they will be. The snag is that I can only ever see up to a certain point and what happens next tends to be obscured by murk. So, somewhere after weird sex and pigeon poisoning the janitor story goes... somewhere. Somewhere I don't know until we've got there.

Some Saiyuki fics I've enjoyed recently:

Tangles by [livejournal.com profile] hibem, Hakkai/Gojyo and Rabid Youkai Sexx0rs. The sequel to Damage Control.

Hearts Like Flowers by [livejournal.com profile] springgreen, Hakkai/Gojyo, explict m/m, which is a very intense partner to Senses Working Overtime by [livejournal.com profile] devikun

Series of four stories by [livejournal.com profile] kazaera - interesting short character pieces.

I love janitor!Hakkai SO MUCH. And the Fisk twins are deeply creepy, wow. Meep.

Oh, hurray!! I was afraid it sucked so bad. The Fisk Twins make me laugh and laugh, they are so demented.

I hope you don't mind me dropping by, but I live in Reading and like anime/manga and yaoi too! It's a small world, eh?

Hi! *waves* Which part of Reading do you inhabit, if you don't mind me asking?

[identity profile] yami-tai.livejournal.com 2006-03-29 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
*waves back* I don't mind at all. Central, I guess... I'm five minutes walk from the Oracle ^_^!

Thanks for the rec!

And yay more Saiyuki fic!

You're welcome - I do hope you write more. :)

Thank you for the rec! :) I'm very glad you enjoyed the fic.

Just pointing out that [livejournal.com profile] ishnaru is my shared fic-journal name and my actual name name is [livejournal.com profile] kazaera. It's a minor thing but because three different people post on [livejournal.com profile] ishnaru and they write quite different things it gets confusing easily.

Thanks for pointing that out - have fixed it!

Also, I enjoyed thise four short fics you did very much - they seemed to say something fresh about each of the characters.

Thank you! For both the fixing and the compliment!

Mm, thanks for the recs. Why do I love Hakkai/Gojyo so very very much? <--(rhetorical question)
