Writing, whatever, Saiyuki

I just cried at Seaside Rescue. I don't think I'll be able to cope with Super Vets and Jack the amazing open heart surgery cat. Far better to carry on writing. I've been doing a lot of it this month, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] publishathon (although it clearly won't be ready to publish by the end of January). At the moment I can write about 2500 useful words a day, fitting it around my job. And, OK, sometimes in my job.

My cold is going, wot I have had for the last week. I bought something called Metatron tonic. It helps you channel the voice of the God during those difficult times when you're run down. No, sorry, Metatone-- with B vitamins and shit like that. It seems to work. I feel good!

Also, SANZO!

The latest Zero Sum from cover has Hakkai about to remove his limiters (scroll down) - either that or he has ear ache from years of neaby gunshots. Gah!

And on that page it also says Minekura was 18 when she started writing Saiyuki?! My god, she really is a genius. Wow.

I think she self published it as a doujinshi, or something. I saw her original sketches of them all one, and it's so funny to see how different they are now, yet similar also. Gojyo has changed the least, I think.

So what have you been writing? From what I can see on the community info, it must be something original, right? Any chance of letting us read, or will we have to wait for publication?

Teehee, Metatron. You really had me going there for a second. Hm, fatigue and beer, guilty as charged :P

Mmmmm, Sanzo!

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
Mmmm, beer! What sort are you drinking? I lovee Belgian beer but none of my local shops seem to stock it anymore.

I've been writing an erotic novel. I'm collaborating with [livejournal.com profile] emungere and we're going to try and sell it to some publishers as an e-book, so it's very exciting and also lots of fun: sex, plot, sex, romance plot, sex, more romance. The end. It's suprisingly easy to write.

I probably won't post any here though, unless none of the publishers wants to buy it-- then we might!

I'm usually drinking my favourite beer, which is Hoegaarden Grand Cru. It's darker than the blond normal Hoegaarden which is one of the most exported blond beers. C drinks WestVleteren, which has been voted Best Beer in the World this year. It's very hard to get buy, since the monks who make it only make enough to provide for their living and a lot of people now want to buy it :P

Oh, that sounds a lot of fun! I hope you'll manage to get published and that we'll be able to read it that way. Good luck with it, both of you!

Unfortunately I can't read Saiyuki Reload because they aren't publishing it in my country, and because it has been lycensed in America MangaCity stopped translating its scans T-T.
The last chapter I read was Vol4 chap 16 (Even a Worm 3), and I have no idea how to get ti read the rest T-T

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
Have you friended [livejournal.com profile] radiofreebanri? because they are putting up monthly tranlations of the latest ones.

[identity profile] janegray.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
O_o I didn't know it. Thank you so much for showing me! =D.

But they only have the translation of Even a Worm 15, and when I click on the pictures I get an error message... I'll ask the translator for help.

Thanks again ^_^

You need to wait for them to friend you first, before you can see them. Leave a comment asking nicely if they will, and they should do. :)

wow, 2500 words a day? O.O go you!! *waves a banner*

I'd like to get back to 2500/week. *glares at flash drive* it's so demotivating to have to sort your files into some semblance of order after a crash. ~_~ *sigh*

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
Awww, sorry to hear about your files nightmare. That sucks. I'm always terrified of it happening to me, but do I bother to keep a back up? No.

Thanks for the banner waving! It's very motivating! I can only write so much because I have a long commute and a laptop - it's ideal really.

[identity profile] nekonexus.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
ah, well, that makes all the difference. ^_^ I have a commute that's between 15 and 45 min (depending on traffic and route) but I drive myself, so can only compose things in my head.

Laptops are good. *nodnod*

I noticed Hakkai reaching for his limiters when i saw an add insert in the LE copy of Loveless 6 that arrived in my mailbox a few days ago ^^ Thinking it don't bode so well, eh? [shivers]

And Chuang Yi can't publish an English copy of Reload 6 fast enough, is all I can say. Yes, yes I know it only came out in Japan yesterday, but still.

You can write 2500 words a day?! I'm lucky if I can find the time to write 20 :(

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:51 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god, it bodes just awful! I am extremely worried about them all. *chews nails* I keep meaning to send off for the Chuang Yi versions but have never got round to figuring out quite how. Are they good?

Aww-- still, 20 is better than none. I would love you to write more though, from a purely selfish point of view. :D

The Chuang Yi versions are very good, imho. They kind of come out sounding more like Manga City scanlations than Tokyopoop prints (not a bad thing by any means), they're Japanse format size and they have dust covers and glossy postcard inserts! They can be a little hard to get, but I am a Determined and Resourceful fangirl when it comes to Minekura's work!

I would love you to write more though, from a purely selfish point of view. :D

I'm trying T_T I lack inspiration too often and I wouldn't know how to write crack even if it was dictacted to me, but I will keep trying! Gambarimasuyo! ^^

But I kind of still can't believe someone who writes as well as you actually likes *my* stuff [hero-worshippy eyes of SPARKLE at yoooo ^___^]
