PS: Have now read up to chap. 12 of Gaiden. Tenpou makes me flail with glee, and Gaiden might be slashier than The Sentinel. Wow.

Unless my friend majinkarp translated incorrectly (possible), Minekura describes Tenpou and Kenren as having "a spousal relationship" on her own website. And it is slashier than The Sentinel, because then there's all that Konzen and Gojun too.

Well, I meant Konzen and Goujun rather than Konzen + Goujun. I always thought Konzen and Tenpou had that whole 'old lovers' vibe, and then Goujun has that whole rather random 'don't mess with Tenpou' speech... so basically everyone just has UST with Tenpou. Whee!
