What's your favourite?

I'm taking a break from building the website of doom beore I get carpal tunnel syndrome in my mouse finger. So I'm typing.

I signed up to rec Good Omens for the [livejournal.com profile] crack_van, and I think it will be in January, after Eroica, Fastlane and Batman, I think. There's no rush but it might be time to dust off my recs journal and see what I've got in there. I haven't posted much to [livejournal.com profile] miladysboudoir recently, apart from a rec for [livejournal.com profile] derryderrydown's Swordspoint fic. Because, Swordspoint! Gay swashbuckling! Not because of a lack of good fic, but mainly because of a lack of getting-it-together on my part.

Out of curiosity, and I'll probably ask this in [livejournal.com profile] lower_tadfield nearer the time, has anyone got a particular Good Omens story that they'd like to see recced? I think this question actually just boils down to 'what's your favourite?'

Oh, gosh, thank you! There really should be more Swordspoint slash out there but I've never been able to find any.

I've been meaning to actually tell you how much I enojoyed these, and tell you that I'd recced them, for a while now. They're really well done, and I think you capture the characters brilliantly, especially Alec, in the short fic. I enjoyed reading them so much! And yes, you'd think there'd be an archive groaning with fic out there, but there isn't.

I also love Swordspoint! If you know of a few good fics, this would be another fandom I've LOVE to see on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van.

I have a feeling that apart from [livejournal.com profile] derryderrydown's fic, there is nothing else out there. So the Swordspoint fandom consists of, at present, one writer and few hopeful fangirls! I don't think it even fits into the 'small' category, even.

But, yes, I love the book too, and wish there were more fic out there!

[livejournal.com profile] afrai's Sparks and [livejournal.com profile] flambeau's And when he falls....

Um. I can't think of any other specific fic offhand, but the authors I'd suggest looking at are [livejournal.com profile] afrai, [livejournal.com profile] daegaer, [livejournal.com profile] shati, [livejournal.com profile] vongroovy, and [livejournal.com profile] mercuriosity.

I love 'And when he falls', it's utterly fantastic. And thanks for your suggestions: they're all writers that I love, and I think in fact I've rec'ed various stories of theirs already. They'll definitely feature in any [livejournal.com profile] crack_van reccing spree that goes on.

Who is that on your "obsessive" icon? <3

That, my friend, is the magnificent Klaus Heinz von dem Eberbach, from the 'From Eroica with Love' fandom. He's very beautiful, very, very uptight and is relentlessly persued by a gay thief, the Eroica of the title. If you're interested, here's a good Eroica site.

ORDINARY PEOPLE. (And in fact just about everything [livejournal.com profile] daegaer's written for GO, but that one especially.)
Otherwise, feel free to raid Saunter Vaguely Downward for stuff.

I adore Ordinary People! In fact I adore all of Daegaer's stories to bits.

And Saunter Vaguely Downwards, is that your site? I'm archived on there, so hello! There are some wonderful writers in this fandom, and I find that if you dig around you can find real gems.

Like I said - anything she's written would do nicely.
And... you do, don't you? ::facepalms:: Oh well. You can still raid the links if you'd like. A couple of the more interesting things are unfinished, but still.
