Day of the boxes

Happy roast potato day for yesterday! I hope everyone's having a good and happy holiday. We spent most of it cooking, eating and then sleeping - it was grand. The evergreen organism in the sitting room looks so pretty, I must take pictures of it. My brother sent me some amarylis (?) that are huge and dark red, and are opening up splendidly. The snow has nearly all gone though.

I'm being forced out on a "healthy" bike ride now even though my head is all stuffy and cold-filled. Indignation! But we are taking coffee and mince pies so all is not lost. Suppose I'd better get dressed and all that. Mr Lux is getting impatient.

Eating, sleeping and bike rides! Sounds perfect. In a fit of camp madness, my tree this year is bright cerise, tinselly and a mere 2' tall. It expresses something though I'm not sure it's the spirit of Christmas . . .
