At 0.6, that's my hand! In my garden! Hand-based fame at last! It's from a 5 second film I made to wish Rafa luck at the French Open. Total jinxer.
I've been watching a lot of tennis in the past couple of weeks and not posting much about it. I don't know why. In tennisy news, Roger won the Cincinatti Masters on Sunday, beating both Mandy and Novak Djokovic to get there. He's been on a losing streak to both of them, so it was a bit of a surprise to see him do so well. I think it was after the final that he said he's been doing some intensive training ever since Wimbledon and that it was paying off more quickly than he imagined it would. You'd think a man who'd just become the father of twins might let the tennis slide for a bit, but it seems to have pushed him to work even harder.
Rafa is back after his knee injury, yay! He says he sat on the sofa a lot and wasn't allowed to frolic very much on the beach. I feel for him!

I literally can't believe that guy's hand placement. He's lucky Rafa didn't run out and punch him in the face.

roger's forehand sent me into raptures of joy. as did rafa's solid game in a set + match before he AWOLed against nole.

Roger was in hot form! I loved it, and he was all over the court, so smooth... I wonder if Rafa just got tired in the match with Nole? He can't be that fit at the moment, I think. But it was beautiful to watch hi coming alive again against Berdface.

And great photos. Awww, Rafito. Saturday's match was unbearable between him and Nole - I snoozed through most of the first set and I was so glad I did. Stupid tennis, at times like that I realise that actually I hate it.
But not really, dammit. Sometimes it would be easier if I did!

(When our agency web site went live in the mid 90s, I was interviewed briefly on CNBC as part of a feature on the site .... my hands spent more time on screen than my face did, because they took a shot of my hands clicking away on the keyboard and then the home page coming up on screen, which they used as a teaser just before cutting to the commercial that aired before the actual interview.)

How are you, Berry? Roger has been looking awesome today in NYC. As the dude in the interview says 'with one win at the USO, Roger will surpass career earnings of $50 million.' God.
