LJ is being a bit weird today - I don't think I'm getting comments properly. Also, how often does the memories feature not work these days? Quite often, which is really annoying if you're like me and obsessive about cataloguing things in them, and spend quality time thinking up new and better categories to put things in.

WOMAD festival is on in Reading this weekend. I don't think I'll go though. Last year was lots of fun, but this year I'm not keen on spending £40-odd quid on a ticket an then more on food, drink, trinkets inevitably bought from the stalls, especially with Worldcon and Ayacon in August.

I'm on holiday from now until 9 August but will have to spend a couple of days at least working. I need to catch up on the work I haven't been doing, because recently my ability to manage my time has sunk to a new low. I'm not sure what happened in June, but I had a tidal wave of self-doubt about how well I could carry out what I had to do and that just stymied me in the worst possible way. I think the only way forward is to just to do what I'd planned to do anyway for this paper and see what the others think. And spend some holiday time making good the time spent avoiding doing hard stuff.

I noticed that also. I too am obsessive about my lists of important links, so I'm rather cheesed off that it seems to be broken so often. Hmph.

I have to ask - exactly what is your icon? Every time I see it I have one of those 'I can't quite make it out but is it really what I think it is...?' moments.
