A brief Kirk/Spock interlude.
'Killing Time', a Star Trek novel by Della Van Hise, has to be the slashiest, book I've ever read. The plot in v.brief: through Romulan interference, the Enterprise slips into another dimension, where Spock is the Captain and Kirk a lowly Ensign. Spock senses that this man is incredibly important to him, he just doesn't know why ... There's some nummy h/c scenes too.

That's because it was originally written as K/S, then de-slashed and submitted professionally. The publishers demanded further de-slashing, but through an error, the originally-submitted version was sent to the printers. It was recalled and pulped, and the edited version was printed, but there are still copies of the first print run out there. I found one at the Friends of the Library book sale last fall! I haven't read it yet, though-- I'm saving it for when I really need some good slashy K/S h/c.

I've no idea if mine is one of the copies that slippped though the net. It might be though, because there are some phrases that quite obviously say that Kirk loves Spock and wants to save him from death at Pon Farr.
My eyes practically popped out of my head when I read it - in a published Star Trek novel!
It's lovely, and made me rush of to read more K/S.
