Some bastard has stolen my bike

The big excitement, if you can all it that, this weekend was coming home last night to find some bastard had stolen my bike.  I'd left my bike lights in the front basket, so they've gone too.  *deep sigh*  This means that I've had to get my other bike in from the back garden (a BMX) and fix it, otherwise it will mean walking to work and back every night this week, which adds another 30 minutes on to my travel time.  So at least I'm not left without transport--  I'll just have to suffer the indignity and mild discomfort of riding a BMX everywhere for a week.  Oh well. I never really liked my bike anyway because, no matter how much I adjusted it, the seat never seemed to be at a comfortable height, but I would rather have taken my time to get a new one.  And I spent £30 on a new back wheel  and gear block for it in the summer - it was a quality wheel too.

Oh no! Damn. Will the insurance cover a new one?

I didn't have it insured. *grimace*. It was only a second hand one, so I haven't lost out too much, but of course it's the principle of the thing, really. Bloody bastards!

That sucks. My condolences.

Thanks. It wasn't a fantastic bike or anything, but it was so damned useful. That's the annoying thing, really. Along with being reminded that some people are complete shits, of course.

Yeah. What a bummer.

What a pain. The really galling thing is that whoever the thief is they won't get anywhere near the value you would've had from the bike. My sympathies. And hope that you find a fabulous new bike soon.

Thanks. It had a girly white saddle too! I got it on purpose because I thought no bike thief would be caught dead on a white-saddled bike. My mistake, obviously.

Yikes!

Bastard. And my sympathies on the need to use the BMX. They tend to go out of fashion once the biker passes age thirteen over here.

Yeah, precisely. Although it's quite a big BMX and there's a trend for adults to cycle round on them over here, so it's a bit less painful. But still. They're hardly my transport of choice!

Thanks! Stupid bike thieves!

I'm sorry to hear that :(
Evil bastards...

Aw, thanks.
