Ah, pleasure.

I ony spent £5 over my budget in Blackwells and came away with vols 1-3 of Saiyuki and vol 1 of Yami no Matsuei aka Decendants of Darkness. Saiyuki looks very tempting right now, but I'm a bit too pissed to concentrate. Two cocktails, 1/2 bottle of wine and 1 brandy later, things are spinning a bit. But only a bit. Conversation consisted mostly of how good Grosse Point Blank is and why people might feel it was okay to kill people for a living, detouring into what sex might be like if assassinating was what you did as a day to day activity.  Blah blah Weiss Kreuz  blah blah assassins. *g*  A day in the life of a slash fan.  I made notes too, in the restaurant. *facepalms*

What I love about Grosse Pointe Blank is how poor Martin is forever trying to tell people what he does for a living and nobody believes him. At least not until he actually does something.

That and the cool black outfits, of course. ;)

Yeah - he's totally honest about it - sort of as protective camoflage almost, except that you get the feeling he really wants someone to take him seriously.

And mmm-mmm to those cool black outfits. John Cusack is so cute.

I keep thinking how much more interesting and emotionally satisfying it would be to kill people for a living. Rather than, say, reconcile things. Also probably less stressful. :P

Note to self: get "Gross Pointe Blank" on DVD....

I take it your day job involves reconciling things? *g*
