Recs and stuff

I've updated [livejournal.com profile] miladysboudoir  with a few recs for Weiss Kreuz and Yami no Matsuei.

Ten hours of sleep!  Am feeling much better. So much better that I have plans to go out this afternoon - first to Blackwell's on Friar street which suddenly has this absolutely enormous manga and anime section, and then for a coffee martini at our friendly neighbourhood cocktail bar.  I'm limiting myself to only spending £20 in Blackwells - I'm quite interested in getting a volume of Saiyuki and seeing if they have Yami no Matsuei in manga form.

Yami no Matsuei has not arrived in the UK yet, the first volume has just been published in the US though and it should come towards the UK soon.

Thanks for the info - I'll keep an eye out for it in the future.

Well, there are the scanlations as well, to keep us until then, I think most of the YNM mangas have been scanlated.

I have the the first shiny new edition of Decendants of Darkness here with me as I speak! Blackwells had two copies - I think it had just come in.

I had seen the scanlations, but there's something so nice about owning the actual manga - easier to read for one thing:)

Oh, I'm envious! I think I might head off to Border's and see if I can get a copy myself. Doesn't matter that I already have three quarters of the series in German already. I'll... use it to compare the quality of translations. There, I found an excuse...

Yes, I know, owning the manga is so much different than just reading scans, I like hoarding manga and can practically purr just looking at my bookshelves.

Oh, well I could pick it up for you in Reading if you wanted or can't get it in Borders - there was another copy on the shelf.

I think I might end up spending far too much money on my new manga habit *g*

Oh, thanks very much for the offer. I'm trying to be good for a few days though, seeing that I've recently spent quite a bit of money for the WK manga. I can live without YNM for a little while, otherwise there will be nothing left in my wallet apart from old bus tickets.

You got WK manga? Cool. I have ambitions to own it one day when I'm rich.

I actually don't like the YnM manga artwork as much as the anime - Tsuzuki looks about 15 and Hisoka about 10.
