[livejournal.com profile] hp_laserjet friended me a while ago and I was all 'whu?' It's a printer. But once you've been friended by a printer you never forget. I go back from time to time and see what it's been up to. Not much really, apart from its toner or paper has run out. But tonight I friended it, so whatever experiment the owner of the printer has been doing has worked because I have successfully anthropomorphised it. It just looked cute in its picture, okay? And a bit lonely and pathetic. One of the reasons it amuses me is because it acts like a printer with a livejournal would (or so I assume) - it's quite dull, doesn't tell you much. There's nothing in its life but printing, maybe flashing its lights. So I offered it a toner cartridge in the hope of stimulating it to tell me more about itself.

My favorite mechanical objects with livejournals are [livejournal.com profile] spiritrover and [livejournal.com profile] opportunitygrrl.

Hee! I like them - maybe they could communicate remotely with [livejournal.com profile] h_laserjet and cheer it up a bit. It seems very miserable.

I like the printer. I've friended it too. It honestly does seem a little lonely. I hope someone replaced its toner.
