Viewing patterns

Children of Men - miserable and depressing and traumatising
Happy Feet - unexpectedly involving and funny, with added penguins
Cars - a bit weird (how do cars reproduce anyway?) but quite enjoyable
Rataouille - unexpectedly involving and funny, with added rats
Cloverfield - miserable and depressing and unsatisfying, with added monsters

Tennis - more big big weapons on display tonight. Roger won his match against Soderling, and lookin' suave. Mandy beat Sam Querrey, Jo Wili Tsonga beat Radek Stepanek. *manly fist pump*

Cars - saviour of my sanity! My toddler adores it. It's the only thing he adores besides Sean the Sheep, and STS eps only go for 8 minutes. I've tried all the usual suspects - Thomas the Tank Engine etc etc. But Cars it is. I rarely stick him in front of the television but sometimes he's ratty as, hitting the baby, whining constantly and I just have to pay a bill or cook dinner or... well, pee. He'll sit in front of Cars for an hour solid at times. I know that movie so well I can jump to scenes by number - you want to see Mater? Let me jump to scene 24. Sad, but true. The weird thing is, I've never actually watched it, so occasionally I look up and see things I've never seen before. And it is actually pretty funny, so it could have been worse.
