Be on my tennis filter y/n?

There is more tennis playing on the horizon. This is just a wee poll to see who wants to actually hear about this stuff, as I shall probably be talking about it more than a bit and I don't want to bore people rigid. Even if it is hot men, it's still sports.

[Poll #1236657]

You left off the box that says "No."

[identity profile] kispexi2.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, just so long as the boring sport doesn't take over. ;-)

(Anonymous) 2008-08-07 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, on purpose. If you don't tick any of the boxes that say yes, I'm assuming you don't want to be on it.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry, that was me. LJ logged me out.

[identity profile] tarteaucitron.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
i want to be spreadeagled all over your tennis filter, pls.

[identity profile] crystal-lilly.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I would like to be on the filter... not because I enjoy tennis (because actually... I'm indifferent about it) but because I enjoy seeing you so happy and squeeful about something.

*nods* I like seeing people when they're happy and excited and exploring new interests (or re-exploring old interests XD).

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
No, Gojyo is really too hot for that to happen. ♥

[identity profile] lauand.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a stalker. It's not that I'm utterly interested in the topic (because I'm not), but it's nice to hear people ramble about things, and, as a Spanish person, it's quite funny to hear what the rest of the world think about Nadal. I'll always remember him for the indescribably horrible performance in a TV commercial advertising "Cola Cao" (The Spanish Nesquik) he did some years ago, by the way. I've got a soft spot for good sportsmen who can't act to save their lives.

[identity profile] maribella008.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
That's funny. I have pictures from that commercial.

I remember the Kipling reading when people were grousing about his English and I thought "It's not that. The man needs acting lessons; it's his lack of inflection."

He's friends with Antonio Banderas. Why can't they work that out? Men make things so complicated.

Sorry, Louise - I am waaaay OT. I am about as gifted at LJ as Rafa is at acting - less, probably - so please just make sure I'm in ur filtur slurpin ur tennis kthxxxx

[identity profile] lauand.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
He's even worse than Fernando Alonso (F-1 pilot who sucks as an actor, too), and Cola-cao is a product that always creates ridiculous TV commercials, so the combination is explosive. You were right, the problem wasn't the language.

XD!, That's men for you!

[identity profile] moshesque.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
I will take the sport aspect for the team the hot men.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
Good good! I will see to that.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
Heh! That's very sweet, thank you :D

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 10:39 am (UTC)(link)
I like Nadal, he seems really charming. I like how he always insists he's a simple boy who lives with his parents, enjoys hanging out with friends, likes going fishing... oh and also travelling the world becoming invincible at tennis. And acting badly in adverts.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-08 10:40 am (UTC)(link)
Good on ya!

[identity profile] dznerchick.livejournal.com 2008-08-09 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for adding me to the list. I'm mostly a lurker and I absolutely love your writing of my favorite pair Hakkai/Gojyo, you have a fantastic writing talent and it's fun to see what scenarios and stories you create - Nadal and Federer? AWESOME! I was glued to the set watching their Wimbledon match- it was one of the best matches EVER! I didn't know very much about them but I could help but be fascinated by that game and while surfing the web and LJ I came across your tennis fic! Genius! I'm not really a very good writer, but can I cheer everyone on? :-)

in other news: i need to stop refreshing folie a deux because you are ACTUALLY KILLING ME.

sweet jesus.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-09 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Heeeee! Sorry about that! Except, not rly. :D

I am writing more tonight, there should be a bit more there now.

[identity profile] tarteaucitron.livejournal.com 2008-08-09 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
ha! you underestimate how often i refresh. seen it, pressed against it, committed it to memory.

this would all be much easier if you would just come and set up shop in my spare room. booze and streaming tennis coverage as standard.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-09 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be far easier and I am always amenable to booze an streaming tennis. I feel they help my 'artistic vision'.

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, thanks! I'm really happy to know you're enjoying all the fic. Also, yay! Matching fandoms. :D

[identity profile] olympia-m.livejournal.com 2008-08-29 06:37 am (UTC)(link)
ah! I have so much catching up to do - you were so busy with your fics these weeks!!!!

[identity profile] kaiserkuchen.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, so I have been lurking about your LJ for ages (through WK to Saiyuki and omg I loved your AB stuff so much ♥), reading your brilliant fic and apparently it is your tennis RPS that a)makes me reexamine my fascination with Federer in a new way and b)finally pulls me into the light of actually decently commenting, so to speak. *coughs* Might I also be added to the tennis filter? :D?

[identity profile] louiselux.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi! Nice to meet you :) I'm adding you now.

So, I'm very thrilled my Roger/Rafa stuff has made you examine him in a new way. I never even took the slightest notice of him till Wimbledon and then now I seem to be painfully obsessed.

[identity profile] kaiserkuchen.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay, thanks!

Heh, I had only always liked him in a 'heyyy cool swiss dude who is always winning, awesome'-way, and am now forever kicking myself that I did not sign up for tennis back in school because our tennis team got to meet 'n greet Federer once a few years ago when he was in Bangkok for a tournament (we were the only Swiss school here, so apparently strings were pulled lol). *shakes fist to the heavens*
