Oh, excellent. I was hoping that bit worked okay, because I sort of fell in love with it and didn't want to change it.

I love that idea so much! I can imagine the scene and Hakkai surveilling him being all disillusioned and conflicted that he has to kill this wonderful politician-- er, Sanzo!
